Model Almite Navigator
Forum Name: Dr.Snubnose
Someone was bugging me (a member of this forum) to take my new camera outside a few months back and asked If I'd take a picture of a knife outdoors (he was tired of seeing my indoor knife pics) So I walked outside placed the Navigator on the ground....and took a pic.....this was the first of the pics....fine camera...even finer Knife!

Significance: I was hiking at the grand canyon last summer, military in pocket, when I saw a tree on the edge of the canyon. I thought to myself "wow that would be a great spot to take some pics of my knives."

Pictured is a Photoshop creation I made using three individual pictures I snapped of some of my favorite spydies. Included is the Navaja, Gayle Bradley, and Lum Chinese Carbon Fiber Nishijin. The images were originally photographed on a white board/background, then transported digitally onto a gold carbon fiber pattern as a way to honor what is to come in the future, new models utilizing the golden weave carbon fiber material such as the upcoming Szabo folder. Generally speaking, it shows off a fun, visually appealing, lightweight material which many Spydie fanatics adore.

Though it was designed for the UK, this Spyderco hasn't made it more that 20 miles from the Golden factory. Taken in the foothills outside Boulder with the Flat Irons as a backdrop on a cold November morning, this photo demonstrates that the UKPK is just as suited to the trails of Colorado as it is to the streets of London.

My entry is an Evrina Kopa, which Sal was kind enough to have scrimmed for me by Linda Karst-Stone to demonstrate how well Evrina took scrimshaw. I chose an owl as the subject and left the rest up to her. I think autumn leaves make an appropriate background for the design she came up with. Photo was taken several years ago and has been altered to remove my Collectors Club number.

Wow, lots of great photos but my favorite is the Para 2 and Goofy. Two great companions - reliable and trustworthy.

My submission is the Gray Paramilitary 2 Sprint Run. I like all my Spyderco knives, but this knife stands out in the collection. The snake in the photo is a Gray banded Kingsnake. I thought this would make a unique pair from a couple of my favorite hobbies. No photoshop here.

All terrific pictures so far :D

I completely deleted my previous post on page 1 so hopefully I'm still eligible.

I was playing around with some past pictures today and this just popped out

It's a Centofante3 I just recently obtained. Beautiful 2mm thick VG-10 blade with a hollow grind, slices like a demon :D Super light and comfortable, perfect for everyday. The image turned out well with a nice contrast :)
