ROT : What song are you thinking about?
What song is running through your mind RIGHT
NOW?
Me : "I've been run down/ I've been lied to
and I don' know why/ I let the new
woman make me a fool/ she took all my
money/ wrecked my new car/ now she's
with one a my good time buddies/
they're drinking in some crosstown bar/
sometimes I feel/sometimes I feel/
like I been tied to the whippin' post/
tied to the whippin' post/ tied to the
whippin' post/ good Lord I feel like
I'm dy-ying!
What say the augurers?

"amazing grace"
"name" (googoo dolls)
"when I'm up" (great big sea)
"life" (our lady peace)
edit: words for "name"
even though the moment passed me by/still can't turn away
with all the dreams you never though you'd loose/tossed along the way
letters that you never meant to send/lost and thrown away
and now I've called them orphans/never knew thier name/don't belong to no-one that's a shame
you could hide beside me/maybe for a while/and I won't tell no-one your name/won't tell'm your name
scars are souvineres you never lose/past is never far
did you lose yourself somewhere out there/did you get to be a star?
don't it make you sad to know that life/ is more than who we are?
grew up way to fast and now there's nothing to believe/reruns all become a history
a tired song keeps playing on a tired radio/and I won't tell no-one your name/won't tell'm your name/won't tell'm your name
think about you all the time/I don't need to sing
lonely where you are/come back down/won't tell'm your name
My Word, My Honour, is my Life.

"Oh, Pretty Woman" as done by BOTH Roy Orbison and Van Halen. (To be honest, I like Roy's version the best.).

I´ll take the 2 points...Violin right!?
The song in my head right now is Elvis Costello´s "Last boat leaving"
..."and it feels like a punishment,
but I don´t know what for
Take care of your mother son,
it´s you that she adores
Even if we sail for a 100 years,
we still won´t reach the shore...
Last boat leaving,
it´s the last boat leaving."
It´s about a father leaving on a ship bound for war..
Vox.

Ken :
That's "tied to the whippin' post" by none
other than the Allman Brothers ( don't record it though ; I have it on a CD already <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>) There's also :
I told you 'bout livin' in the U.S of A/
and you know sure I'm the gangster of love/
Let me tell you people that I've found a new
way /
and I'm tired of all this talk about lo-ove/
and the same old story/ with a new set of words/
about the good & the bad & the ????/ and the times keep a changin'/ so I keep on top/
of every fat cat that walks in my door/
I'M A SPACE COWBOY/bet you weren't ready for
that/ I'M A SPACE COW-BOY/ I'm sure you know
where it's at / yeah, yeah, yeah,
( is there NO SONG from the 60's that didn't
have yeah, yeah, yeah in it? Java please? )
Oh yeah ( that word AGAIN! ) Steve Miller Band.
