Good attention to detail. That does appear to be the case.

Donut. Interesting question, there. Mine looks more like the bottom knife in syntaxxerrors pic. Except further from the butt. All the rest of my para2s have a grind that abuts the butt.

All (3) of mine came with not a full grind. Not that big of a deal, but almost all the pictures I see in this thread look like the grind on mine.

Lucky you I tried to e-mail them if they still have one that I could buy and I didn't even get a reply.

I missed out on this sprint since I took a little holiday from this hobby, any kind soul out there with a spare one willing to sell me one?

I missed out on the pre-order also and when I emailed asking if there were any available for purchase still they told me after all the pre-orders were filled if any were left they would be posted for sale on the website.

Yea I thought the quality of the grind on the back bevel's on the Orange PM2's left a bit do be desired compared to what I've seen on the standard PM2 and the Smurf that I have. Oh well, I greedily sold it for a tidy profit...Image

It is. You're looking at the post directly above my question, but the one two posts up posted by dual is a Para. Unless they made something else in orange with tip up/down and CTS-XHP. :)

Interesting. I received both of mine and the grind goes all the way back just like every other Para2 that I own. I've seen many pictures of the orange Para2s with the grind not being completely full. This is the first Para2 I've ever seen like this. It's just odd that it's only showing up on the latest orange Para2 production and not on any of the previous ones. Perhaps one of many in production at Golden isn't as precise as the others. I know we may be picky here and it doesn't affect the functionality of the knife but when we're accustomed what to expect from Golden and see something change, it's only natural to wonder why.

It is pretty easy to touch up when you sharpen the knife so to me not a big deal.

With the standard stones on my WEPS, I can't reach all the way back to the back of the bevel, so this will be OK with me. Almost all my knives have the last 2mm of the bevel in "original mint" condition because the stones won't reach there. It's just a peculiarity of the WEPS stone mounting system...

Oh, and for the record, my orange Para2 has a bevel that doesn't extend all the way to the end of the grind...

Both my Orange AND Brown PM2 sprints have imcomplete bevels at the back of the blade. Maybe the company changed the sharpening method/spec/tooling/personnel..???

No problem, sorry to sound rude.

That is pretty interesting, thanks for the comment.

I have seen pictures of the brown para that look like they had the issue as well.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. I've always read that the edge was put on by hand, there's no way someone could make the same mistake, down to the millimeter, on 100 knives.

Just for closure, I got mine today. Exactly two weeks and three days after it was collected by USPS.

Oh man, it's one sweet blade :D

Thanks Sal, Eric and Jeff as well as everyone involved and to you guys reading, for bearing with my banter.

That was pretty quick, all things considered. Enjoy! These have the boldest orange G10 I have seen, loving mine.

My Orange para 2 does not got back the last 2mm BUT and so fine with it and may even make the blade a tad beefier.
