When I got my first Millie (m390) I also felt that it was way too big. I carried it occasionally, but it just never 'clicked' with me.

Then, during the last week, we relocated to another town. I packed away all my regular knives, and kept the GB and Millie, mostly because the cf does not show dirt like light-coloured g10 when used with dirty hands.

With lots of bubble-wrap, cardboard and tape to cut, the Millie suddenly started to make perfect sense. The handle is roomy behind the choil, like others have said, and for some tasks you appreciate the longer blade length.

For 'normal' office edc, its still huge, and the PM2 wins for me here, maybe because I also prefer the compression lock over the liner lock. But I can see myself grabbing the Millie over the PM2 in future when I need to get some real work done, or for outdoors stuff.

I now understand why so many guys swear by their Millies.

Excellent point - always carry a knife, and always carry a backup knife.

I always carry two knives, a normal/EDC knife and a smaller, backup knife. The backup knife is also the one to "hand over to others" that need to borrow a knife - the one that would be less "impacting" to non-knife folks. For the last 6+ months my "normal" knife has been the CTS-20CP PM2 and my small knife has been a Dfly-2 (ZDP steel).

Once I received my M390 Military, I plan to alternate between the following depending on where I am going, what I might need a knife for, etc.:
- M390 military and CTS-20CP PM2
- M390 military and the Dfly-2
- CTS-20CP PM2 and Dfly-2

I would suggest to the original poster to buy more pants with at least two pockets or pockets large enough for two knives. :)

Yep, I carry my PM2 as a primary, CRKT Drifter as beater/loaner, plus a BUG as a finger picker. Then if I have a multi-tool there's another blade.

I have an S30V Para & a S90V Para 2, both never carried. However, my M4 Millie is to me like Captain Hooks, hook.
