I don't know what the numbers are but it's huge for the amount of folks who are signed up as active members. But do keep in mind that many of the guys/gals that were very active when I first joined back in 2004 are long gone. And I'm talking about guys and gals who were as active as I am now. I would bet that there is probably only 4 to 500 that are active as far as posting at least once or twice every 2 months or so. The nucleus of active members really isn't that high. Because 90% of the people that post are here full time whereas many just lurk from time to time or only respond when something on a thread really strikes a nerve with them or it is something very near to their heart.

I would venture to say that between me, Deacon, Doc Snubnose and maybe 10 others I could mention are the only ones still here from that era. Many have just lost interest and moved on. There are thousands registered but when you look through the members list you'll see that it's just a tiny percentage that actually do most of the posting.
Long Live the SPYDEREDGE Spyderco Hawkbills RULE!!

That reason would probably be the price. :)

They are releasing a new Matriarch called the Lil' Matriarch using a Delica 4 handle. It's not an exact hawkbill blade due to the slight recurve but it's VG-10 and looks SWEET!
