well, I have been oggling over everyone's blue m390 PM2 since they came out and my brain made me click on buy from BBS this morning. I thought my M4 Manix 2 was going to be my last purchase for a while, but I just had to get the smurf para. It has been calling my name! :D
Now to sell some more stuff on ebay lol.

I seem to go in cycles. I'll get something I love (like the Phoenix or the GB) and I'll be satisfied for a while. Then in 6mos, a year... whatever, something will catch my eye and BAM, I have 5 new Spydies inbound. Then one will be "the one" for a while, then it starts again. I have to say, Wouter's Amsterdam thread is kind of an annual downfall for me

(recent - Des Horn, inbound - Caly 3.5 SB, on preorder - Techno & Air... Sigh!)

It's a great little knife. VERY lightweight. The point is the finest point I've ever owned. I'm trying to watch exposing that tip to any lateral stress. And it's my first Warnie, which is taking more getting used to than I'd expected.Shakyamuni wrote:kbuzbee, how do you like the Des Horn? I'm in my up-cycle right now :)
The lockup is plenty solid and while, being so light it kinda gives the impression it's flimsy, being G10, it isn't. I love how thin the blade is. And that smoother G10 just rocks!
I do find the handle a bit thin for my big mits. It's not an issue when using it but makes one handed opening more awkward than I'd expected. Out of the box, it wasn't the sharpest Spydie I've ever received but that's easily correctable if I keep carrying it. Will I? Maybe clipped in workout shorts or something, but it's not going to displace my GB any time soon.
Hope that helps?
Ken

VERY small holesShakyamuni wrote:Thanks, it does help. I've recently been trying out flatter blade styles (Chokwe, Sebenza Insingo), and the Des Horn seems like a nice flat blade, and the tip looks good for making small holes in things!

Oh, another thing, it's pretty stealthy, if you like that kinda thing (I do)

Filled up the diaper genie twice already lol :D . Still struggling getting more than 2-3 hours of sleep at a time at night---sometimes only 1-2 at a time certain nights. I feel like a zombie sometimes.tonydahose wrote:you should be too busy changing diapers right now. no new spydie until you go through a big box of pampers. :p

RG02, FWIW, I find it perfectly appropriate for you to purchase yet another Spydie at this time in your life. Besides, everybody knows that less sleep drastically decreases one's inhibitions to purchasing more Spydies. Just ask VampyreWolf. LOL. :Drg02 wrote:Filled up the diaper genie twice already lol :D . For me, being where I am, the BentoBox price came to about USD 230-240 for the Smurf Para. Apparently, when paying with PayPal, there is a substantial mark up. So gave it up.
Happy for you. Trust me, you need to be in a mental high these days and learn to cat nap.

My first son, who'll be 29 this year, started sleeping through the night after the first week. We called him our starter baby. We had to wake him up most mornings. My second son took several weeks to settle into a routine whereupon he awoke at 6:30 every morning for a year or two.rg02 wrote:Filled up the diaper genie twice already lol :D . Our reason is quite satisfied, in 999 cases out of every 1000 of us, if we can find a few arguments that will do to recite in case our credulity is criticized by someone else. Our faith is faith in someone else's faith, and in the greatest matters this is most the case.
