That's funny, something similar happened to me last year. It went as far as another parent telling the teacher that I was using a knife to cut open packages. My son's teacher came up and told me that "we use scissors here" I told her that I am more than comfortable using my Spyderco and continued to finish cutting open the packages.KardinalSyn wrote:Due to work and other stuff, I did not post here in a while.
On Friday 30 March, I used my Para2 to break ice cubes that had got stuck together for fruit drinks at my daughters school fare. Saw a few other parents staring at me but did it anyway. Felt good to use the blade in public.
How did you use your Spyderco today?

Cut vines w/PM2 also opened wrapping and strapping on various building materials/supplies. Was gonna cut boxes up but just burned them instead. Gave a little wash and cut a fuji apple and a few strawberries. The sage was near, but the Para 2 always gets carried on the weekends. Looking forward to using my Catcherman and Aqua Salt after some offshore fishing in April.

Used my Dragonfly H1 to prep a co-axial cable that would connect to my tv.
Used my Para2 to cut up a few chicken pieces to bite sized ones for a stew.
Both blades performed very well.

Decorated the house today for an 11-year old's birthday party. Believe it or not, I used my VG-10 Stretch to cut and trim the crepe paper streamers I hung around the house. I have the VG-10 polished to a mirror finish - and it glided through the crepe paper like it wasn't there. My wife commented that it looked like the "silk-and-sword" scene in the movie "The Bodyguard".
