Ever experience those really expensive months/Week!?

I'm sure there are a lot of you that experience those dreaded months where your wallet takes a hit.

This all happened within the first week of March:

Kershaw Skyline, Orange Dodo, ZT 0560, and Ruger SR22p

All in January : MRI on right knee,20% co-pay....$40 on-going co-pays 2 x week for PT on the knee...cracked tooth, no dental ins., $3000 for a root canal and crown....misplaced eyeglasses, not cover by ins. , $200.

No place for "toys" right now in my life. I paid-in-full on a Brown S35-VN Para-Military back in September. It hasn't even arrived yet, and I think I'll need to sell it once it comes. And so it goes....

As far as knives go, my most expensive day was the OKCA show on a Saturday in April 2011. I brought $800 cash, spent every dime, charged up an extra $400 and had a follow up custom from one of the makers there. I've learned my lesson, though. This time I'm going for all three days and have been saving and selling off knives in preparation; $1840 stashed for the show to date.

I just plunked down ~4k for a DUI TLS350 custom cut dry-suit.

I'm gonna be eating Ramen for the rest of the month.

I have a bad habit of buying a custom holster and a case of ammo every time I buy a new gun. It's not pretty when the gun only costs a little more than the accessories.

However, I'm a sucker for bulk buys;

Well, I bet I've got you all beat.

In July of 2001 I signed away my life on the 5.9 million dollar purchase of F-P Industries, a midwest fluid power distributor and systems builder. In August 2001 we were notified by our biggest vendor, SMC Pneumatics that we were being dropped, SMC accounting for $3.5 million of our $10 million annual sales. September 2001 saw our sales drop 45%. That was just the start. Eventually we lost our house and every penny we had. July 2001 turned out to be a very expensive month. I can laugh about it now, but things were pretty miserable for a while.

Well, for the past 2 months or so I've been trying to scrounge away as much as possible to pay off my Ruger 77/22, and it certainly didn't help that I bought a PM2...
And now my clutch master and/or slave cylinder is starting to go out so I need to replace them.

Yay for PB+J!

Bonus is I'm getting a pretty decent tax return, so I'll be able to splurge for a while :p

I've paid over $1,200 in speeding tickets this month. Diesel prices are above 4.50/gal here in California. About to order a ZDP Dragonfly, a delica ffg for my friend's birthday, and likely Matriarch fo the girlfriend. Plus the list of things I should maintain on my car. Oh, and I make minimum wage.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

You won't regret that purchase! I don't use my CF200 nearly enough. My knife habit is edging its way to my diving habit that includes 2 rebreathers

I have been buying a few Para 2 sprint runs, about 3 or 4 and I picked up two Para 2's with s35vn. I also preordered two of the Para 2 204p. Picked up two 5.11 Rush 24 bags, one 5.11 Rush 12 bag. Some misc gear small items, two Spydie Sharpmakers with extra stones, etc.

On a good note, I have sold some items to help pay for these latest purchases but still have some ZDP189 and other Spydies to get rid of!
