I agree the Catcherman is the best of the bunch. My next selection would be the Rock Lobster.

Just the other day I needed to cut some 3.5 foot long 10oz "Armor" Leather (beefy stuff). Of all the spydies I have to choose from (each with 30 degree inclusive edges down to .5 micron on a wicked edge), I reached for my ZDP-189 Spyderco Stretch despite the fact that a fresh utility knife was also at hand as I wanted something sturdy. The cut did not need a second pass.

In hindsight I may have tried the Chapparal, as it is in my mind a super detail slicer, but I needed some good pressure to get through it and I reached for something more beefy.
My current Spydercos: Military CF S90V, (2) Military CF M390, Navaja CF S30V, Superleaf CF VG-10, Manix 2 CF CTS-XHP, Manix 2 CF S90V, Paramilitary 2 CF S90V, Stretch 2 CF ZDP-189, Sage 1 CF S30V, Lum Chinese CF VG-10, Caly 3 CF ZDP-189, Chaparral CF S30V, Kiwi CF VG-10, Chicago CF S30V, Cat CF S30V, Schempp Rock VG-10, Temperance 2 VG-10 :spyder:

I'm a big fan of the Chaparral over all, but there's no way that a knife in S30V is Sypderco's best slicer. You really want a steel that can hold an edge at fine angles, and my experience leads me to believe that S30V is not that steel.

Now the NEXT Chaparral--that one I could see being the best.
