The OP's link is weird. Fortunately, ICSK's link takes you right to the video.

/facepalm. Thanks. :o

I am curious if this occurred at the factory or the two months of ownership as mentioned in the unboxing vid. As some have mentioned, I feel bad about your rust regardless but more sorry you disassembled it.

If it was me, I would try to fix it with some mild scrubbing and rust-preventative. BBS has a "all sales final" policy at least according to their site mentioning warranty work should be sent to Spyderco.

I imagine your knife has been sitting at bentoboxshop since it was released. Who knows what kind of atmosphere is in their storage area? I have no experience with removing rust but lots of guys here do and can help you. Also, I've put a patina on my blade and always use Tuf-Glide which is a great corrosion prevention product.

Same here...

I got mine after they had been out for a bit, although, not directly from Bento...

Here is mine, I think I see a pinhead of rust in the last one. I will clean it up.

Donut, I can't believe you would show pictures of such an example of a knife that has been that neglected. I mean really, a spot of rust that I can't even see? You should be ashamed. I suggest you get that taken care of ASAP. :D

I wish I could take pictures that good. They are great.

Sonny, you need to throw some dirt on yours. A perfectly clean Manix2 with M4 is begging to get a little dirty. :D

Lol, thanks Jack. :)

I think it is mostly all in the camera. The Canon SX200 comes with a "Super Macro" mode, the focus range is 0.0-0.8 inches. I basically turned that on and touched the ring on the outside of the camera to the knife.

That and I love my Zebralight H60W. :)
