Average time it took to get your edge re-sharpened by Spyderco

#1

Post by Kousii »

Im sending in a couple of my blades to spyderco to get them re-sharpened. I have no problem with waiting for them, but I was just wondering how long it will take. If you guys can tell me how long it took for you that would be awesome.

Thanks,
George

The last time I sent a few in,mostly serrated edges, it took at least three weeks to get them back, but it was worth the wait.

Mostly depends on the backlog, but it seems that 2-3 weeks is pretty typical.

Free sharpening on all Spyderco knives (you pay $5 for return shipping, though). Broken tips that require regrinding may require an additional fee.

Edit: Chris beat me to it as I slowly typed away on my iPod...

I sent one of my older SS enduras in with a broken tip and they had it reprofiled, sharpened, and polished up and back to me in a week. Of course I live an hour from Golden :D .

I got mine back in a little less than two week's.
I am very happy with Spyderco's customer service.
Here's a link to edc forums about my experience with sending two spyder's back for repairs. http://edcforums.com/showthread.php/848 ... -them-back
My favorite Spyderco is the one I'm carrying now :p

What an amazing company! I wonder if you can send them more money for express return?

Two weeks; razor sharp. Nicked my little finger immediately. Just removed the butterfly bandages today. (NOT COMPLAINING, SAL!)
