Third post on Gayle Bradley

When the first came out, I said the Sage I was the best knife Spyderco ever put it's stamp on. It's too soon to tell, but the GB may edge it out. For some, a knife that large and heavy may not be practical, I can carry this knife because I am no longer in an office environment.

I like the large handle because it allows me to bear down without any hand pain. Most of all the CPM M4 is the selling point, it gets super sharp and holds it longer than anything else. In the evening I strop it on my knivesplus strop and I'm ready to go again.

Hear's to you MR Gayle !

I agree with you 100% on everything you said. Not only the part on how great the GB is, but also the Sage1 was my favorite of all time. Now the GB is knocking on the door to my absolute favorite room, shoving the Sage1 out. I think they may just have to be roommates. :) I don't think they will mind. I carry them at the same time A LOT. In fact I left them both in my front right pocket all day one time. That night when I emptied my pocket there was a cute little Chaparral also. :D

I would be inclined to agree that the GB is my favorite. It gets more carry time and use than anything else I own. Once clipped to my pocket I really don't notice the weight at all. In fact when I get up, I still always check to see that it is still there, but I like that in hand it has a heft to it.
And the materials and build quality are second to nothing in the Spyderco line-up. When you consider that if you look around you can pick one up for about $120, I think that it is not only the best knife that Spyderco makes, but it is also the best deal.

I completely agree. There are many factors which have led me to believe the GB may be one of Spyderco's best knives. For me the best selling points are 1) M4 steel 2) ergonomics and 3) build quality. The size, as previously mentioned, seems to be a non issue once in the pocket. I would love to see a "limited" edition or sprint run of some kind for this wonderful knife, however, it would be tough to one up the original. Just my 2 cents, cheers!

Couldn´t agree more. One of my most favorite Spyderco´s. One downside: the hidden linerlock. For me disengaging the lock was a bit difficult, so I removed a little piece of the left liner. That solved that matter! I am really looking forward to the Air! M4 with ti-liner and glassfiber scales!! Awesome.

I want a GB XL & GB XS. I really think thats the be all end all of the pocket knife world. I'd say you can't really do a sprint run due to fact you already have a topend steel & CF scales.

I concur, the GB is fantastic. Not quite as chunky as a Manix, but just as gnarly. Looking forward to the Air myself.

I'd love to see about a half inch longer handle and a one inch longer edge...then I would be the happiest Spyderco fan ever.

The GB is my favorite EDC. The M4/CF/Beefy liners. What is weird is, when at home, I have it open on the desk just to admire the quality.

OK, let them "one down" the original. I would like a GB with a unique color of G-10 scales. Then I would feel better about using it as the hard work knife that it is capable of. I have thought about making some G-10 scales but while looking for what I'd like I ALWAYS end up looking at some really nice wood to make the scales out of. THAT might be a way to "one up" the existing model. A beautiful set of wood scales.
