Got a NIB Massad Ayoob serrated edge Spyderco :spyder: today. It's a VG 10 C60S. I paid $75.00, do you think I overpaid? LOL :D

Wow. Congrats on that. Unbelievable. I should be so lucky to overpay for such a classic. Enjoy.

Even a used and tattered unit would have been good for that price. Holy Smokes!! you've got my envy meter going bunkers for sure.

There just isn't that many of the older SE units around now a days. Being the Ayoob is one of my all time favs I certainly congratulate you. I just wish that they would also make available the Spyderedged version with this new G-10 handle that the newer Sprint run just recently had.

I just recently got one of the G-10 PE units myself and I'm really torn between a collector's piece and/or putting it in the EDC arsenal.

Nice score!! You'll really love that one for sure

Yeah, I was being sarcastic, I know it was a great buy. I like it a lot, I doubt it will see too much carry time but I don't mind seeing it on the wall with the rest of the collection. Occasionally I find it appropriate to have a defense oriented blade and it will be carried at those times.

Another thing about the Ayoob in Spyderedge it just seems like it should be the flagship model for the Spyderedge. It truly epitomizes the elegance of a beautiful serration pattern. There is just something about the curvature of the blade in correlation to the handle design that just lets you know that it's a SPYDER through and through.

I'm sort of disappointed the Mr. Ayoob and Spyderco haven't done another collaboration yet. I would like to see Mr. Ayoob also do a fixed blade design for Spyderco. Or maybe even another ergonomic folder>> because I bet he has some other designs up his sleeve.

We need more Ayoob Spyders. It would be also cool if he would design either/and/or another folder or fixed blade or maybe even something in the H-1 Salt Series.

Funny, I was just finished watching a YT video on that model. Now, I really want one. I would say 75.00 for an NIB model is fantastic.
Nice find for sure!

Well "HighDesert" I"m here to let you know that you will become immediately blown away with the C-60 model. Both variants (SE & PE) are both super blades in their own respects.

I was personally blown away with how well the PE version was for filleting fish for instance. The knife is so multi-functional in many aspects. Until now I've yet to see any Spyder that is equally as useful in both variants as the Ayoob is.

We just have to see the Spyderedged version of the Ayoob return>> even if it's just a sprint run. Because the blade is just that good.

I'm surprised that the recent Sprint run of that knife is not more sought after then it is. I get all the sprints and thought it was a very good all around design.
