Thank you from Japan - off topic
I know this is off topic, but I thought it was worth sharing.
Spyderco has been working with Japan for more than 30 years. We are still working with the same companies and they are still providing us with excellent quality knives.

Awesome video. It's easy to sit comfortably at our homes safe and warm, and not realize the profound impact that event had on so many people.
It was wonderful how so many countries banded together to assist, although it would have been a shameful thing if they hadn't.
Really makes you stop and think about things in our dailiy life we may see as being a big problem, but in comparison they are often really nothing of any consequence.

It does the heart well to see so many Nations come together in a time of need. When mankind is able to look beyond it's differrences, even for a short period, we're able to achieve anything.
I was truly proud to see the United States Navy Warships steaming foward to assist the Japanese people. Full Speed Ahead!

Very true. I'm glad Sal and Spyderco has continued their partnerships with the Japanese manufacturers, despite the minority that wishes more of their knives were made in the U.S. Friendships are made and it is not until times of need that people really understand how important they are.bitbyte wrote:Awesome video. Here's a bit of irony for ya...i was watching this video about 4 hours ago, and half way through it my electric went off. No idea why but it was off for about 4 hours. For a while i was a little ticked because i was working on some things on the computer, and the kids were watching tv, and then i wanted to make some lunch but had no stove. Then i got to thinking about this video again and how lucky i am that it's just my electric going out and not my house washing away. It's amazing how much we all take for granted every single day and how truly blessed we all are no matter how crappy we think our lives are.
