I have to say that for the described labor involved in creating each one of those strops, that price seems awfully low.

I'm interested to hear more feedback on these.

Sorry, my normally-awesome 1% recall was not working at peak efficiency tonight. Didn't mean to toe-step and such. ;) I blame the wine.

What does it mean when your trying to rebevel on 30 degree setting but it's not hitting the bottom portion of the edge? I'm having trouble with my vallooton

It means you need more work.

My thought is use the sharpie trick to see where you're at, do one side at a time, and make sure you get a burr down the entire edge before moving to the other side or moving to the mediums. After you do the diamond and get a burr, you can go back to the alternating method. < Probably need to do some more work on the burr side to get to a starting point.

I've done a few knives where it took 100 or more strokes even with the diamond. Especially if they are a Combo Edge knife, as those usually have a funny grind where the plain part of the edge is sharpened normally and the serrated part is chisel ground.

I think there is a further gap between diamond and medium as there is between any of the other stones, so it will probably take more work on medium to get a mirrored bevel.

Also, you probably don't have to do diamond to set the microbevel.
