That's what I figured, couldn't think of any other single stack guns in that flavor that would take a mag like that.

Bump for one of my favorite threads. I got out and shot enough .357 today to make the good Doctor proud.

Is that the SP101 or GP100? Nice shot anyway, despite the camera quality.

SP101. Actually not too painful to shoot magnums out of. I have a scandium S&W I always regret taking to the range because shooting anything hotter than .38 special wadcutters (powder puff loads) feels like getting smacked in the hand with a 2x4. A dream to carry, a nightmare to shoot. I was using some 158 gr jacketed soft points today and they were almost pleasant. In the Smith they are punishment.
It's actually my first Ruger wheel gun. I've always been big into S&Ws, but I really like this Ruger.
