Hi all,

After some lurking I've decided to admit my addiction. EDC is a Mouse, together with Spydiecard in wallet, Cricket when I'm on my bike and Wrench in the car. Can't wait for the SS Cricket and am hoping that On Scene Tactical will make a micro rig for it.

Regards and best wishes

Welcome jaybear! Hope you enjoy all that the forum has to offer. Nicest forumites around. Oh by the way how what are the legal restrictions for carry in the UK? I thought knives were a no/no? Just curious?

Welcome aboard and enjoy the Forum. Looks like you're into rather smaller knives, just like me <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Welcome aboard, Jaybear. You'll find many UK forumites here, who knows there may be one within driving distance.

As to the rig from Eric @ OST, give him an email and ask him... or contact via ICQ. I have 2 knives back enroute to me, and have already played with 2 of his rigs on passaround knives. Great quality, and chesp prices.

you may want to check out both the Kiwi and Pride models.

Howdy Jaybear! Welcome to <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>Land! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

As you already seem caught in the web of <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>Addiction, I took the liberty of bringing with me the forms for admission to the <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> Addicts Treatment Center. I propose immediate treatment. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Never underestimate the impossible.

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone.

To CKE - generally anything that you can't give a valid reason for carrying can be deemed a no-no. However you do have to be stopped/searched and for that to happen the police have to have a good reason. Don't flash it around and you should be ok. Anything with a locking blade is technically illegal but I've yet to see anyone prosecuted for carrying eg a Leatherman unless they are out at 2am hanging around parked cars(I work in the Criminal Justice System so I get to see a fair number of things!)

Regards to all.

Thanks jaybear for the info. I have family in Birmhingham. I was only 14 the last time I was there so needless to say I was not a international knife traveler. I would like to go back someday in the future. Take care.

other than the gerber, you'll fit in just fine. nice to have you here.

[NOTE: I've only broken *1* knife, a Gerber Gator, and it's either out in the bush still or been found and repaired. The pivot gave out whittling, and I figured if it broke like that it wasn't worth the repair cost]
