Did I really miss out on the Dodo AGAIN?!

So I found the preorder for the new orange dodo a good amount of time ago and in the ignorance of not knowing what other designs Spyderco would release in the near future, I held off. Just went and checked today and the preorder is sold out on both BladeHQ and GP Knives! Does anyone know any other retailer that has a preorder for one still open?? :confused: & :mad:

knifecenter still has them. I've been contemplating on getting one, though I still think I'll wait for the CF version. Orange is not my colour really.

Well I guess I'm sol.. I was hoping to find a retailer that was only asking for a downpayment to hold your name. I'll have the cash by the time the knife would ship, but not now. Bummer.

I don't rely on knifecenter for pre-ordering sprints anymore. :mad: Been burned too many times and missed out on a couple that I really wanted. Of course, YMMV, yadda, yadda.
My business goes elsewhere.

while we are on the subject.....I pre-ordered my orange dodo quite a while ago, however would they be able to confirm if I will receive one or missed out on the # allocated to them?? Worth contacting them?

I'd be down for one of those! I just love spydercos orange g10, I don't know what it is, but I love it. Thanks for the heads up though, where did you hear about that?

I can't remember where but I'm 100% sure a member of the spydercrew confirmed it whe the orange was announced.

It was confirmed by Eric.

I have the Orange on order and put in a word for a Carbon Fiber version so hopefully that'll take it's course when that is announced.

So far:

Yojimbo II(shipped it to a friend of mine so I won't see it until January when I go to see him)
Orange Dodo preordered
Carbon Fiber hopefully preordered
ZT/Hinderer Flipper Black handle scales preordered

Going to be an expensive first couple of months next year

Pre-orders are always an issue. Many dealers are limiting how many they take to avoid disappointment.

I am going to guess, that when the time comes, you will be able to find one.

Keep in mind, the Dodo is a love/hate sort of knife. Just because 70 people on this forum are all excited, it does not mean there are legions of people waiting to snatch these up upon release.

Yeah I put my order on knifecenter approximately a week ago. I figured it was worth a shot as other retailers were sold out. Fingers crossed.
