Discontinued Deals?

#1

Post by DeathBySnooSnoo »

So has anyone come across any greats deal on any of the knives on the discontinued list yet?

I've seen some good prices on the Citadel, 50% off MRSP at CS. But other than that...nothing really.

Post what you see.

The Citadel is one of the few knives i would buy just to have and not carry, if only i could legally order one. Too bad.

I was hoping to pick up a Ti UKPK for a low price, but I'm not finding the deals I was hoping for. I guess it makes sense, I doubt that retailers will have a problem shifting them.

If anything, I can see the prices on most of those disco'ed models to go up now instead of down.

GPK has fairly good prices for disc models. Not a steal, but better that CS.

Usually poor selling models have a lot of inventory needing to be moved, so the prices go down.

Sometimes a discontinued model has a small amount of inventory in the pipeline and the price goes up.

They often go down from dealers when disco'd, followed by a nice spike once they're gone from dealers. Not every knife/retailer is the same, but you can usually get disco'd models at a pretty good price since they are likely getting disco'd b/c they weren't big sellers

Not as many blowouts as years past. As others said, GPK seems like they have good prices.

I guess not too much unsold stock sitting on shelves this year. I haven't seen any unbelievable deals yet.
