Black Pocket Clip & Screws for Yojimbo 2

#1

Post by dwayne1341 »

Hey everyone,
I just bought a brand new / older style plain black pocket clip (and 3 black screws) made to fit an Endura / Delica for use on my Yojimbo 2.
Also it does not have the hole in the middle either.

I got the all black pocket clip and it looks perfect.
Same as the silver one just in all black.
It looks like it should.

I like it a bunch. (ebay is where I found it)

I did the same, black screws and all, thanks to Mike J's tip. I also blacked out the last torx screw head (the one right above the clip and is exposed when the knife is clipped to your pocket) with "Super Black" (flat). Looks much better now :) I've used SB to touch up small nicks on my guns with pretty good results. Hoping it will last on the torx screw head. Put three coats on and EDC'd the Yo2 for a week, so far so good. No big deal if it eventually chips off as it takes seconds to reapply.

Mako109,

Yea a black clip on the Yo2 is the way to go. I just found an old style Endura / Delica clip (3 screw with no hole) and bought it. It came with three little black screws.
I COULD NOT BE MORE PLEASED WITH THE YOJIMBO 2 NOW!

DemskeetSkeet - "Pictures?"

They may be from a crappy Cel phone cam but I will do my **** level best to get you some pics. I may be just me but I think that the black pocket clip was the way the Yojimbo 2 (bodygaurd) should have came from the factory.

I always use black grip tape to cover my clips with. I use the black 3M Stair Step tape, what are you using?

Intertape from Pep Boys. Basically the same thing.

To All:

If you want a black clip AND black screws on your Yo2, here's a little additional info:

The Endura clip will fit on the Yo2; however, the replacement screws that come with the Endura clip kit are metric screws because the knife is Japanese made. The Yo2's screws are English standard. If you put the Endura screws in the Yo2, it won't be a proper fit.

If you want black screws and a black clip, your best bet is to order a replacement clip kit for the Para Military2 black blade. This will allow you to swap the clip and the screws for an all-black look. The Manix2 also uses the same clip and screw thread, but uses bigger, beefier T-8 screw heads instead of the more common T-6. However, since the Manix2 is stacked construction rather than nested, it uses longer screws than the Yo2. The screws will extend into the slot on the inside of the handle. This won't matter for tip-up carry, but it's a no-go for tip-down since the screws will hit the ricasso and bind the blade.

You can always shorten the Manix2 screws... or, carry tip-up the way I do...

Stay safe,

Mike

Thanks for the info Mike! I for one like the shiny clip on mine, just the way you designed it!
Cheers!
