2 new Spydie's in 'da house!!

Post by cutter17 »

These arrived this past Wednesday, a Gayle Bradley, and a 92mm Citadel. Both of these are absolutely PERFECT! Everything that a knife knut looks for to tell if it is a quality piece, these both have it. Centered blades, tight/smooth actions, SOLID lockup, razor sharp blades with even grinds, great fit/finish, everything is there. :)

I usually disassemble my knives when I first get them to check out the knife and apply new grease, yep, even my auto's, but this was not needed as they, again, were perfect as they were.

I did replace both clips with the foldover clips I have from usaknifemaker, allowing both to ride all the way inside my pocket with only a small clip showing on the outside.

The 92mm Citadel is the one I've carried so far and will continue to carry for at least a week longer before switching to the GB.

I just have to say that the more Spyderco's I buy, the more Spyderco's I want to buy!!

Btw, I also got a Boker Titan Defender in the same order, a wonderful knife in my estimation, and a definate edc piece.

Congrats on the the two members to your family cutter17. Yea it's funny how that works. I will have a couple on my wish list and think that after I get just those two, I will be set for a while. Then after, something happens, I see a picture that someone has posted, people are talking about a certain knife or I see a video etc. And then the little vicious circle begins again.

Cutter17,

Nicely done, mate. I'd love to see a few pics of the GB when you get a chance. :)

Yea, can you post a link to the clips from usaknifemaker that work with these knives?

Hello all. Just got around to checking this thread. I have pics and will post them later today. Currently a filter at work screws with Photobucket keeping me from posting the pics. I will though as soon as I get home. I will have to take a couple more of the clips though.

The link is http://www.usknifemakers.com, but I just went there and noticed that they are sold out, except for one style, and I've never used this particular clip, but it is a newer addition. They will have more, just don't know when. Go to the site and click on "folder parts" from the left side, and scroll a little over 3/4's down the page and you will come to them. The Stealth Clip, with it's thin body is one of my favorites.

I'll get the pics up in a bit.

Here's a few blurry, and crappy pics, for your viewing pleasure................and no, there is nothing wrong with your eye's. It is the pics that are blurry!!

The Citadel clip is the Stealth model and has been covered with 3M black stair step tape, while the GB has the Thin model and it has been torch anodized, but needs to be finished better and done again.
