I convinced myself that there must be some crazy deal going on with Amazon today, the best I could find was a Serrated Pacific Salt for $42.99.

It's hard to be impressed by any of these "deals", 10 second search on eBay and most can be beat with shipping included.
Got the email from poor fish this morning; like you said a few good deals.

Instead of simply being crass, why not post links to some of your deal-beaters?

I purchase many items from ebay. They usually have the cheapest price and are easier to find than stuff from web search.

It's not very difficult to find items. No need to post links.

ebay sells lots of Pacific Salts. The average price paid is $60, the lowest on the current "Completed" list is $46. $43 on Amazon with free shipping is a great DEAL.

Why spoil prejudice with facts? If you have facts, post links.

Here are the deals cited in this thread. Show us how much cheaper these are on ebay:
Sharpmaker - $39.99 with free shipping
Stagg Manix 2 - $100
Pacific Salt - $43 with free shipping

These were described as "pretty good" prices:

Ambitious 18 bucks

Squeak for 31 bucks

UKPK for 25 bucks

I await the far better ebay pricing. Remember when you link to ebay, if wasn't a "Buy it Now" then you would have had to pay some amount over the winning bid to buy it.

add> I see a link to the Pacific Salt on ebay was posted while I was writing this. That is also a great deal. Some would be happy to pay the extra $3 for Amazon to ensure satisfaction with the purchase. Thanks for posting the link.

Fair enough. I was going by experience, but it appears that Spyderco has just started running distributor specials on the black SE Pacific Salt and the Sharpmaker.

Glad to get the links, though.

When you say that it is hard to be impressed by supposed "deals" (deals in quotes), it sure seems belittling to the efforts of those that were kind enough to share actual links. For not trying to be crass, you seem to have nailed it.

The intent of the original post was for people to share deals - not to simply say "they are out there - go look for them".

Thanks to those who posted with links. If someone has spotted other great deals, by all means, please post a link.

Thanks -

I don't think unlimited was being crass at all. If anything suggesting that searching ebay for a particular item was good info. that was shared.

As already stated I find many items there. Most recently was an new ignitor for my 10 year old oven
The price paid was much less than anything I could find using web search.

Poorfish deals always sound nice, until they hit you with a $15 shipping charge.

Just wonder who bought all of them. My friend at work wanted to get one, but all of them gone.
Probably I will have to give him mine :( .

$15.99! They do that on purpose to make up the difference. For $16.00 it should be overnight to my door :(

They are still there. Use the search instead of the link.
