PPT: king of my pocket

#1

Post by mr.don »

so i just received my new gayle bradley in the mail today. it is awfully pretty. the only question now is if its up to the task of de-throwning my PPT. i've carried the PPT everyday for 13 months. i love its heft, ergos, and anso style scales. during those 13 months i tried the manix 2, the cf zdp stretch, the sage 2, the zulu, the para 2, and the persian. all saw pocket time, however i always went back to the PPT. maybe the PPT will just have to split carries. anyone else have this similar experience?

I like the PPT a lot, and carry it on occasion. But for me, no matter what else comes along, I keep coming back to the Para 2.

Your new GB should offer similar heft, and it has a very capable blade. Maybe you just need more pockets?

Welcome mr don, enjoy the Forum :) You picked a good one with the PPT.

The PPT is my favorite. I reserve the Bradley for times when I'm a little better dressed. The PPT is much less traditional than the Bradley and for me has more of a worker feel and look to it. It's as comfortable in the kitchen as it is cutting wood, an extremely versatile folder. For me the PPT is more comfortable to carry as well.

Both are fantastic. Extremely tough, and capable as well. I'd like to try a Para2 to compare, but I would have to save a lot of pennies :) Maybe a pic comparing the Para and PPT?......My hat is off to Mr Perrin, Perrot, and Thiele as well as Mr Bradley and Spyderco :D Both are extremely fine knives :D
