Cool site if you need to tutor your kids in any subject

i just was told about this site. http://www.khanacademy.org/ appearantly it started with this guy trying to tutor his niece across country so he would make videos and post them on youtube for her to watch. none of the videos are longer than 17-18 minutes IIRC. well a whole bunch of people started to watch the videos and love them. bill gates of microsoft loved them as well so he gave the guy a ton of money to make videos on almost everything you would ever need to learn about (in school at least). my wife is an algebra teacher so she does the homework with my kids. if you didnt happen to marry a teacher, this is the place to get help. i thought some of the parents on here could use it :) .

edit: even my wife loves this place as well as do some of her peers after she showed it to them.

I have had some experience with this website as well. I must say, it is great.

Makes learning subjects that you are not to familiar with quite easy. Sal(Not Spyderco Sal :) ) makes it as your one on one with him and teaches in a way that you wish all your teachers had taught.

Although I am in college, I still find myself having a little trouble with math. Khanacademy is a great tool and I would recommend it to everyone.

Tony, thanks bud. That is a freaking gold-mine of a site. The guy is well spoken and seems to know what he's talking about. Love it!

Very good site. I'm working with a nonprofit organization to develop free online college-level educational resources (http://www.Saylor.org), and we have been very impressed with the Khan website. I'm currently working on a series of history lectures for college students based on the Khan model.
