PE or SE

Hi - we vacationed in Maine this summer and my wife is lobster obsessed. One night she used my Byrd Finch and another night my Persistence to cut the membrane on the tail. I was thinking of getting her a Ladybug (she likes purple) but was wondering if a SE regular or Salt would be better for cutting that tough 'skin' than a PE. The Salt would be good, too as it's waterproof. A SE Dragonfly or Byrd Robin2 might be OK but they're a little bigger than she might like. She'd have to give up the purple though unless someone has dyed the yellow to get a decent looking color. While I have a dozen various Spydies (I took 5 of them on this trip), she's not a real knife person but sees the value in having something sharp to use now and then. Thanks - Mike

Pe ladybug in h1 imo. Its a smaller knife that wont rust. Its size shouldn't intimidate her and the pe will be easier for her to control.

Serrations on a little knife are going to cut more aggressively and the edge will stay sharper longer (especially in H1).

My wife has used my small toothy Spyderco's and she likes them. They have a smidgen of plain edge for coupon/tag cutting so we rarely long for a PE.
