In Germany self defense is a big problem. We are not allowed to carry a handgun, In our town only one CCW permit was issued last year. If you carry a one hand opening knife, you neet to have a legal reason, excluding SD. If the **** hits the fan, you are most likely going to jail.

The only place where you are "allowed" to defend yourself is your home. Weird situation, because the police usually is not there in time.

However, if its me or him, I'll stab him, and if I have a gun with me (i.e. on the way to the shooting range) I'd use it for SD aswell. I think it is our right to defend ourselves against crimes.

I'm going to order one of these as a Christmas present.

I've heard good things in general and even our own Dr. Snubnose has one. Seems the most logistical way to defend yourself minus a big flashlight.

Or I might go with the 3,000 lumens 6" long flashlight from Elektrolumens. :D I know flashlight defense is overrated but that's definitely enough to disorient and it just so happens to look like a club.
