Police 3 Off Centre Blade

#1

Post by Spyderknife »

Hi Guys. Love this new knife of mine (Police 3) but the off centre blade does annoy me some what. Anything I could do to adjust it? Yes, I know it does not affect the functionality and performance of the knife. But if it could be fixed/adjusted I would love the knife even more :D .

They will most likely send it back untouched. I have several folders don't center perfectly and I just keep them that way. Just FYI.

My Large Lum blade isn't exactly centered, but it works fine the way it is. I'd just use and enjoy, make sure it's sharp :)

Does it really matter where the blade sits when closed? Unless it is touching the liner I say dont sweat the small stuff.

I would absolutely not send it to Golden unless the blade rubs the liners. Otherwise you're just spending $5-10 in round-trip shipping and will likely just get a note saying it's within spec.

I read someone loosened up the pivot and then wedged some folded paper up in between the blade and side it is closest to. Then they tightened down the pivot again and that straightened it out. Worth a shot since it's not dis-assembly and voiding warranty. If it was touching I would say send it in.

Okidoki . I guess I will not be sending it in then. Will just have to let it do some hard work. I know I must not sweat the small stuff but hey, it's not always so easy not to. :o
