New Purchase!

#1

Post by WagSwag »

I received a Dragonfly II Salt a couple days ago as something to take the edge off while I save up for a Gayle Bradley. When I first opened up the package I was a little disappointed with how small it actually is, but it grew on me really fast. This is an awesome little EDC. The F&F on it is very nice, amazingly light, came hair shaving sharp, and with H1 I'll never have to worry about rust. I haven't been able to put it down since I got it!

Here is a stand alone photo, and another with my other spydies. (Sorry about the quality, taken on my cell phone.)

Congrats on your new toy. They just appear small, but they do cut and sit in hand better than some bigger knives.

lol, I have the same problem, when saving for a knife. Its tough when spyderco has such a broad price range. Hope you can delay gratification til you get the Gayle now. I know its tuff :)

Congrats. Dragonfly is a Classic design. As for the cutting ability...thats why its called a Little Big Knife. Enjoy!

Congrats!,

A couple of questions: is the Dragonfly Salt the only H1 steel folder with serviceable torx screws?, are all others riveted?

I would love a Pacific (or something like it in H1) but one of the things thats holding me back is the fact that its riveted instead of having torx like my Delica 4

My H1 Ladybug has torx screws. I'm not sure about the Pacific though.

newer pacifics have the torx screws. i got one from amazon the black bladed version...it came with torx screw setup not the pin. a coupe of weeks before that, i bought a pe yellow version pacific from a different site and got the pin version......so best to call your favorite dealer and verify though, before ordering cause you know how older stock can sit around for awhile depending on the place..

Thanks guys for the info, thats will be my next spyderco then :D

Always eyeballed the salt line, living in Lima (coast of Peru) and needed a good knife for the beach and fishing, didnt take the plunge just because it wasnt serviceable (and a beach/camp knife needs to be cleaned thoroughly after an outing, also there are a lot of dusty places in Lima)
