Delica handle swap

#1

Post by Bam-it »

I was wondering if it was possible to change the handles from one delica to another. I would like to put a plain edge on the white handle sprint or red trainer. Does anyone have any pictures they could post also. Thanks,

Sorry, but it's impossible to make any changes whatsoever to Delica handles:

Not a problem at all. I took mine apart for cleaning and re-assembled it fine. You will need a small pair of needle nose pliers to get the spring bar back in easily. I would love to have scales of different colors. I wish Spyderco would sell them. I don't see myself buying a trainer to get red scales. That will change when I win the lottery which should be any day.

Here is a post on assembling an Endura. I used it to go by since a Delica is about the same I think.

Great work! Where did you get longer screws since the scales are wider. I have thought about doing stuff like that and screw length is one thing I've wondered about. I made a set of scales for a knife and had to countersink the screw heads so I could use the same screws. I see that you countersank the pins and did a really professional job.
