Delica clip issue

#1

Post by HunterRyngo »

Hi guys,

I have a zdp-189 saber Delica 4 and today I snagged on the door of my car and bended the clip badly out of shape. :(
Where can I find a black clip for my beloved knife? Can I order it separately from Spyderco or other websites?
I dont know that it would be covered by warranty, but I live in Hungary so the shipping cost dont worth it.

Thanks,
Peter

You can try to bend it back, but i did the exact same thing and mine snapped in half. There isn't much give in the clips. I ended up making a custom low ride clip for mine but i'm in the same boat, need to order a new replacement.

Hunter,
I broke mine last year and ordered one off of Amazon for 5 or 6 bucks.

I'd call up Spyderco and have them mail you a couple clips. The cost is no where near equivalent to the frustration.

I did this the other day getting out of my girlfriends car. I never do it in my car because well, it's in my right pocket! But anyways, it was the clip on my military, i just took it off, put a cloth around it and grabbed it with my leatherman where the screws go, and carefully bent it back. Can't even tell i bent it.

I find one on ebay for 15$+shipping (8$) I think it's too much.

Contacted Spyderco from the website's contact menu and got an (I think) automatic answer instantly, that I can call the Spyderco Outlet, where they will ask further questions about my knife, than I can order the clip for around 5-8 dollar plus the international shipping and handling 5$...

(BTW how you guys mean that "mail them and they will send you one?")

Yeah. I don't know about Hungary, but they mail to Canada for a total of clip + shipping of about $12.
