Pacific Salt=Le Uber Endura Incarnate

#1

Post by enduraguy »

I do believe my Pacific Salt is the uber incarnation of the Endura model. Original liner free zytel handles, titanium left/right clip, rust proof lock bay bar and blade, etc. My sharpmaker has me loving this knife even more. I'm thinking of getting another for a backup.

Nice assessment :) It's more or less an Endura 3 with a slightly different blade shape and steel. The cool thing is serrated H1 is very impressive (more so than PE).

Send a pac salt off to a guy like Brad Southard or Tom Krein for a FFG treatment and you got a lightweight dream edc~.

I agree, the Salt series are great. Lightweight, yellow handle option, and titanium clip.

I love the older designs, too - so much so that...

Same with the Salt 1's, but I also like the blunt tip the way they come too, so I have a couple pointy and one original. Great, simple knives that you don't have gunk getting all inside the liner holes, etc.

- best wishes, Jazz.

I just got my a black plain edge Pacific Salt the other week. I am surprise to say that it is quite possible my favorite Spyderco I have ever own. Light weight, sharp, rust free, strong, easy to sharpen, Almost maintenance free. Whats not to like?

Honestly it is probably my favorite knife. I bought a Yojimbo as my grail a few months ago, but the Pacific Salt is still my all around favorite knife in terms of actual use. I can't justify carrying anything else when I'm literally in the water almost daily. I preordered a titanium fluted military but in the end I'm sure I'll be carrying my pac salt more, simply because it can and does go underwater.
