I was on a Gen 1 Delica hunt a couple years ago and they were so hard to find that I eventually moved on. Why do they never come up for sale? I'm guessing that they either are seen as junk or all lost their frn clips and were tossed. I can't even find discussion about them (all searches lead to discussion of newer models). I personally think they have a real purpose for folks who work in environments were a metal clip could damage vehicle paint, woodwork, etc. Any education would be appreciated.
I've given away 2 but here's a shot of the 2 I have left.
I carry a plain edge, G-2, original delica everyday. Best lockup on a lockback that I've owned. Found one on ebay as a backup in case I lose the current one.
I also carry one of my original plain edged, G-2, Gen1 Delicas frequently. For 10+ years in the 1980s and 1990s, it never left my pocket. I keep it razor sharp and mostly retired at my desk - on letter opener duty...
I haven't carried my G1 in years. Mine looks barely used and the FRN clip is still fully intact. That's the bad boy on the right, along with his siblings, a Delica4 and a Salt1.
