That is some of the best news Ive heard today. Now I don't have to worry if I don't get into the top of a stores preorder list. I might even be able to get multiples.sal wrote:It's not planned as a "Sprint", but subsequent runs will depend on demand.

Sal,
I know we can't get an actual release date. But can we get a vague estimate of this year or next?

Smile, it can always get worse
Thank you, Sal :D I'm a bit weary of the Sprint hunting process. And having it available through the normal dealer network is a plus.sal wrote:It's not planned as a "Sprint", but subsequent runs will depend on demand.

With all the other great stuff in the pipeline that's soon enough for me. I'm definitely getting two.sal wrote:I would guess the end of this year. I want one myself.

Our reason is quite satisfied, in 999 cases out of every 1000 of us, if we can find a few arguments that will do to recite in case our credulity is criticized by someone else. Our faith is faith in someone else's faith, and in the greatest matters this is most the case.

Me too. this is a once in my lifetime knife. I've never seen one like it before. The days of my youth had carbon alloy steels but the knives were primitive compared to what Sal is cooking up for us. It's sort of old school, but with technology that we wished we had back then. With all the other great stuff in the pipeline that's soon enough for me. I'm definitely getting two.
I've seen some nice customs in steels like O-1 but nothing with the Spyder hole, the ergonomics of the Caly 3, and yes, Super Blue. It's something special for me. Compared to the high vanadium stainless knives I've been playing with lately it's a dream to sharpen this steel. It has that bite to it that Tungsten alloy steels have as well. I've always liked Tungsten steels for their combination of sharpen ability, thin angles/edge stability that's possible, and better wear resistance than most would think.
Like the Gayle Bradley I'm buying a few extra if possible to keep safe.

Do you have both versions of the Gayle Bradley to comment on the differences between them? I haven't seen much good information on that. The Mastiff wrote: Like the Gayle Bradley I'm buying a few extra if possible to keep safe.
Thanks.

Donut, I have early versions without Bradley's logo, and one with the logo. Other than the logo there's not much difference. I haven't even checked to see if the later one has the lightened liners. Joe

p.s. that goes for all high end carbon steels that are properly hardened.
