Sandvick 14cn28 steel?

What do you guys think of the Sandvick 14cn28?I have a Skyline with that steel but dont know much about it.Seems to take an edge very well though.

I find it takes a better edge than S30V. The only knives I have that steel in are from Kershaw and I like them almost as much as my Spydercos :D

if im not mistaken, 14C28N is exclusive to kershaw. i don't own any (i soon will) but from my understanding it takes a very keen edge and has pretty good edge retention.

14C28N has:

0.62% carbon
14.5% chrome
0.11% nitrogen

I've got a few Kershaws with 14C28N as well. It takes a very sharp edge but I don't use them much (for obvious reasons) to really talk about edge holding. Quality steel, that's for sure.

I have a Skyline also. It's been in the rotation for a few months but I generally prefer a bigger knife. The steel has held a good edge and sharpens relatively easy. No problems with corrosion either. I think it's a good steel.
