bump! fascinating concept... I love the design of the kiwi, and think it would be an even more useful gentlemen's folder with a 2 7/8" blade. Also, any way to keep this thing under 3 or 3.2oz would be awesome (suit pants seem to be less accepting of a weighty blade). Also, as much as i love exotic woods and stones, if this turns out to be anything other than a sprint it would be cool to see some materials that keep it under $150...just my $.02

On a side note, i still can't get over how Sal takes time to respond to some of the posts in here. Really one of a kind shop!

For the record i'm not suggesting they change the Kiwi, but rather make a big brother to it. I think the original design is perfect....i wouldn't change anything except putting a lock back on it. I just think there's a lot of potential for a larger knife with the same design.

I really like the idea of a larger (just sub 3") Kiwi, and, yes, put the lock back on.

This is a very interesting topic. I have a CF Kiwi coming in a few days and would like to evaluate it against "the Deacon".

A super-size SS kiwi with clip, bigger lanyard hole as well please.

You get a nice sized blade in a small package.
I guess the only thing i would change is adding a clip and going back to the lock-backs.
