Just scored a semi-grail for $100!!

I've been wanting a Kopa for a long time, but the only ones I saw (Squash bone and Pac. Blue) didn't appeal to me as much (I like the ones with no pins showing on the inlay). Plus, most of them were pretty dang expensive.

So, yesterday I finally got the deal I've been looking for--a brand new Pearl and Abalone Kopa for about $100!! I'm so excited about this...I gotta carry it, but it's so pretty I want to keep it pristine! It will be a great piece for my collection, and probably the prettiest and classiest of all. I've been staring at pictures of it practically all day since I pulled the trigger...can't wait to get it!! I love it when I score a long-wanted knife without even expecting to!

PS-I'm also pulling the trigger on a Chokwe and Urban when my check clears. I'm leaning toward the Orange/Wharncliffe Urban now since I have a lot of FG and Leaf blades, but if anyone has an opinion on which urban they like better and why, I'd love to hear it.

Thanks guys...sorry for the fairly pointless thread, but I'm so excited, I just had to tell someone who knows what I'm talking about! (the people in my house probably think I'm nuts for being so giddy over buying a little knife)

I have the same knife--though the wait and see approach worked out for you better than the "buy it while I'm drooling" technique worked for me. Absolutely stunning knife. Mind blowing.

That's a great buy! I have the same one! I love the depth and dimesionality that the abalone stripes provide next to the pearl. . It is a beautiful knife. My go to nice dress knife. And it sharper than heck. Congrats!
