Help Me decide, Street Beat or Sage II

#1

Post by Wisehybred »

Well as the title describes im interested in a new knife and really am on the Ti Reeve Integral lock kick....so the Sage II is right up my alley. But then i see i dont have a fixed blade spydie and really would like one. I have many folders already that would fill the bill with the Sage but nothing in the fixed blade category. Sage II runs around 123.00 from poorfish, and Street Beat 162.00 from KC. Anyone know where i can find a Beat for a bit cheaper. My only reason for not just buying the Beat is the price. My military is almost the same size as this fixed blade at a much lower price point plus you get s30v blade steel with an amazingly strong lock. So do i spend the extra bucks on the Street Beat or just get the Sage. Help me make my mind up.

Street Beat. You will never get as much bang for your buck in your entire life unless you score a 1st-gen Glock 17 for $100 like I did.

I think you answered your own question.

The Sage 2 is an amazing knife. I truly mean it's crazy good. That said, it's a folder that's purpose can be fulfilled by any other folder. Perhaps a Delica isn't as classy but it can do the same job.

I would get the Street Beat. If you can carry it legally it's an amazing fixed blade. Plus then you can say you own a Spydie fixed blade which you couldn't say before. :)
