A Japanese Nutnfancy

#1

Post by SQSAR »

I found this guy (virtuovice) while following a link here on the furom. I know some may not be huge fans of NutnFancy, but for me, with the exception of him taking 10 words to say what he could have said in 7, I find most all of his knife-related videos pretty cool and informative. This guy is could be Nutnfancy's brother from another continent. His YouTube call-sign is Virtuovice, and he has some good knife videos posted that some here may find interesting.

I like him. his cooking videos are pretty good too.
The one thing that bugs me about Nutinfancy is he is kind of corny. A middle age guy who can not for the life of him stop saying dude or dudets. Drives me up the freaking wall. Other than that I like him for the most part.

No comparison between the two!
I have both subscribed! I really do not have a problem with Nutnfancy, but the view and knowledge of Virtuovice on matters of fixed blades and hunting are way superior than Mr. Nutnfancy.
If Virtuovice could speak better English his videos would be even more knowledgeable!

So I think it is not a compliment to call him a Japanese Nutfancy  !

You have a good point. Still, I like and find value in both, if not for slightly different reasons.

Nutnfancy's early knive reviews (Pre-2009) are great. The 'fame' has gone straight to his dude-like-head. I'm glad he has managed to turn youtube into a cashcow for himself but he does seem kindof arrogantly annoying.
Too many Spydies to list!

I enjoy them both in their own way. Knife entertainment!

if a knowledgeable knife user does a review of a decent knife,i expect to see the knife actualy being used for what it was designed for and made to do. CUTTING,SLICING,separating matter..
Indepth knowledge on the bladesteel,heattreatment,durability-from normal use-no stabbing thru carhoods, dont want to kill any robots..

Yeah its stupid how nutnfancy asks himself questions then answers it like we asked it. Or says something that he thinks is stupid and pretends like his "audience" said it, and reacts accordingly.

That's why his reviews go for a half an hour and at the end you don't even know what he was talking about and are as wise as you were before  !
10% actual knife review!
90% blabbering    !

Only one internet sensation takes 40 minutes to review a fixed blade.

"Dude...DUDE....DUUUUDDDEEEE!!! I'm just keeping it real TNP'ers!"
