Now that I have the Paramilitary 2 in my hand, what was all that hype about?

Hello snowcrash and all,
My 2 cents may not be worth a penny but here goes. I have a few Spyderco knives and a few others. As far as the Spydercos are concerned every one of them it top shelf compared to anything I've used in my life before my search for a "better" knife began a few years ago. Each and every one is great in it's own area as far as different blade sizes, ergos, etc. Now that I have used "better" knives my standards are higher. I no longer compare a new knife to the ones I used 20 years ago. They are compared to Spydercos and a couple others. Therefore the old theory comes into play, "something is good or bad based on what it is being compared to". Since your Para 2 is being compared to other great knives it has a lot more to live up to than it would if it were your first Spyderco. And as many have already said personal preference is the key.

Dang are you guys still beating this dead horse?
You know Snow, what's funny is, you have the power to delete this thread and move on. SO, if you're not a troll, if you're not trying to get attention...why not just save us all any further grief, delete the thread, and move on. Do what you will with the Para 2, and stop stirring the pot. Man up, stop slinging insults, and move on.

forum troll: Someone who gets pleasure by typing annoying/controversial/offensive words at strangers on internet forums, for them to read.

Thanks Evil, I had no idea such behavior was given a name. It could be upsetting that some people have nothing better to use their time for.Evil D wrote:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_(Internet)
I'm not suggestion this thread is about trolling. I just was curious as to what the term meant.
Thanks again,
Jack
It's really no different than people who just love drama and aren't happy unless there are problems, conflict etc.... There are plenty of those types out in the world.jackknifeh wrote:Thanks Evil, I had no idea such behavior was given a name.
