H1 Dragonfly! When?

#1

Post by ZeroCool »

Hello All,

New to the forum; Spyderco and H1 steel recently reminded me of my knife addiction :)

I have been wanting something in PE H1 steel smaller than my recently acquired Salt 1 (SE) but the Ladybug seems too small. I have recently heard the rumors of an H1 Dragonfly but have yet to see any concrete evidence of its existence.

Anyone have the facts? I'm assuming it will be patterned after the latest Dragonfly revision (I sure hope so, at least). Any word on colors, blade style and release date?

Surely others are as excited for this model as I am!

Thanks in advance for any and all replies.

Ah, just buy a knife. It'll be fine.

The ladybug salt is great. A hawkbill version is in the works too. I carry one every day on my keys.

The H1 Dfly seemed pretty sure, but converting a VG10 model to a Salt requires more than jsut switching the blade steel, they need to rust-proof all the other parts (for example the clip needs a new solution). It's probably still being developed.
I would speculate that it would be available in yellow and maybe black, probably both PE and SE. It might also be a hollow grind like the current Salt knives. BTW the very first Dragonflys were actually hollow ground. ;)
