I EDC 10 :spyder: s, and still have trouble choosing which ones.
The spyderco "everything knife"?
I'd hafta say the Para 2. I'm really glad I don't have to make these "one knife" choices anywhere but on the forums, though

I'm an admirer of Spyderco's designs. Using them is like immersing yourself in music or studying a painting in a museum. I buy some "fine" art but my preference is for usable art.

I would have to say Stretch... even though it's hard to beat a Delica.
My :spyder:'s>> Fluited Titanium Millie, M390 Millie, Brad Southard, Gayle Bradley, Junior, Bushcraft UK, Translucent Blue Manix 2, G10 UKPK, Sage 1, Sage 2, Ti Damascus Delica 4, Orange FFG Endura 4, Gray FFG Endura 4,Native, Blk Dragonfly, H1 Dragonfly 2, Blue Tenacious, Tenacious, H1 Ladybug, White Ladybug, Grasshopper, Honeybee and Bug
Caly3.5
Light, slim, very compact, still 3.5" FFG blade 3mm thick will outslice any Spyderco with this 3.5" or bigger blade length. IMHO certainly the best knife designed by Sal. Also looks good.

id say the stretch too but the endura wins on any defensive role added to the fact it carries the same as the stretch. Manix 2 also great edc/defensive role. if i was limited to one knife overall it would be a fixed blade.
my knives:
kershaw Leek Buck 119 Cold Steel Recon tanto
Cold Steel Ti Lite VI ,
Spyderco: Tenacious ,Persistence, Endura 4 blue Stretch zdp blue, Manix 2 ,Native s30v . Sage2 titanium, Gayle Bradly cpm m4, Muleteam mt 10, woodcraft mule s30v. Orange Delica 4
Bark River PSK 154cm, Gunny, Bravo 2, Canadian Special

Pretty much any of my usual EDC Spydercos would fit the bill: Stretch, Centofante 3, Lum Chinese, Khukri, Rookie, Chokwe, Para. If I had to pick one, the Stretch.
Some of those are less well suited for self defense purposes, but that's not a factor in my criteria for a good knife.

Newest :spyder: in hand: Halloween Handle Hap40 Endura and Delica.
