Too bad you're having a bad experience with your Sage. I suggest you contact Spyderco's customer service, as this obviously isn't normal. My Sage 1 hasn't chipped so far.

I will for sure. I was shocked. I even went back through the trash to see if there was any staples or wiring in the boxes that I might have hit. Nothing at all. The 3 boxes were cut down the seams, where the was nothing for the blade to hit other than cardboard.

I love this knife and it's been my dream knife since it came out. Now after barely a week of owning it and a few cut boxes, it's dinged up. I can't imagine s30v being that soft.

My EDC knife for today was a UKPK (leaf, FG G-10). Wasn't used for presents (didn't have presents today needing it), and I was travelling around town today (Slip-its conform to local laws when I'm not on duty).
