Ffg ???
Well I feel the spyder bite coming on again . This round I'm going with something in a ffg blade . So far My knives are sg and I like them . I think the ffg looks cool and from popular opinion here, will be better slicers . Well I think I need one just to form a more accurate opinion .
Haven't decided what model I'm going with and I'm open to suggestions . I need to stay below 100 bucks or so . Also wouldn't mind trying different steel while I'm at it .You can see my list of current knives ( small that it may be ) below :) So , lets hear what ya think ....

Delica or Endura will always be stock answers because you won't go wrong with either. A black FRN stretch might also fit your requirements.

Well, under $100 is cutting yourself a little short in my opinion since for a bit more you can get a Para 2 which IMO is gonna be tough to beat. Since MSRP is $170, it shouldn't be much over $100 once all the hype dies down. Otherwise there's the Delica/Endura duo, the Delica of which gets my vote if you have to stay under $100.
Personally since you already have one Delica...i would really try to hold out for the Para 2 if you can carry it legally length wise and if the lock interests you. If you could get your hands on a Para 1, i would highly recommend that also.

Stretch would be one. You can get the VG-10 version for well under $100, or go a bit over budget and grab the ZDP-189 version. If you're right handed, the Sage I can be found for around $100 and would add S30V to the steels you've tried. AFAIK, the latest batches of ZDP-189 Enduras are FFG, so that would be another "under a C note" option.

I say Delica 4...you have one and know what it is like. Getting another in FFG will give you a direct view into EXACTLY what FFG will offer compared to a known benchmark.
Plus you will have money left in your budget to put toward whatever knife you *think* might be better than the Delica. I hate to spoil it for you...but you will likely buy a lot of knives before you find one better....unless you decide that a different size will work better for you.

My current EDC knives are my Sage CF and my Delica FFG and I love them both. I've EDC a delica for about 2 years now and have a matching trainer that I use for MBC training.
I picked up the Sage about 2 weeks to add to my collection but was immediately impressed by the overall design of this knife. The CF scales are fairly grippy and the open pillar construction, skeletonized liners and CF scales help to keep the weight down. Its very ergonomic in hand and the CF scales are very aesthetic and almost memorizing to look at. S30V on a leaf shaped FFG blade is a bonus too. Anyway this knife was too sweet to just put in the safe I had to carry it. Best of all, as Decon said you can pick the sage up for under $100. I got mine for around $80.
Good luck in you search!!

I vote for Stretch...it's an all-around perfect design for EDC for me. I think any spydie owner should have one. Also, if you're open to slip-its, the G-10 UKPK's are still around for about $80--those are tough to beat for the price--perfectly textured G-10 (for me) and FFG S30v. I would highly recommend it, especially because they will all be going bye-bye very shortly.
I would say you can't go wrong with either S30v or VG10.

I think for every steel/material/knife you will find a small segment who don't like it...but with S30v, there really isn't much not to like IMO. Compared to VG-10 (according to spyderco's extensive testing) it holds a slightly better edge, and VG-10 is slightly more corrosion resistant. Both are great steels, but IMO there is a slight but noticeable improvement in edge holding for S30v. It's not quite as easy to sharpen as VG-10, but I find it to be nearly as easy. By all accounts, S30v is a more "exotic" steel, due partially to the fact that it's made using particle metallurgy.marknett wrote:The s30v steel seems to be very popular . Anyone who does not like this steel and how does it compare VG-10
Like I said, both are awesome steels, and I think it's good to eventually try both to get their "feel"--that's what I have done since I got into Spyderco--I like my collection to have a nice variety of steels so I can experience the various qualities.
EDIT:
I could have just said this :D you beat me to it with your conciseness.Jay_Ev wrote:I would say you can't go wrong with either S30v or VG10.
