I appreciate the forum for the members and the access it gives us to Mr. Glesser.
The knives? I have an Endura I have been carrying for 15+ years. What more can I say?

Thank you for this chance at winning a GREAT knife.

I appreciate this forum because of the adult and professional tone. Everyone here is respectful and knowledgeable. If they do not know something, they don't feel the need to pretend they do.

I have had a Spyderco addiction since I got my first one which was a Delica. I have loved Delicas and Endura ever since. I think the new FFG Delicas and Enduras are top of the line.

I have a brown Delica and a Green Endura. I had a new green Delica that I was saving as a back-up to my brown one but I just gave it to my brother for his B-day gift.

I am impressed that Spyderco would produce a knife like this again. Both the Delica and the Endura could be made much stronger and idiot proof but they chose to go with utility over anything else. Only Spyderco would produce a knife like the new Delica/Endura. If it is as good as my trusty old Centofante IV, the Delica/Endura will be much stronger than people think. I have used and abuse my Centofante IV and it is holding up fine. The Delica is built with the same nested liners so I assume it is as strong as the Centofante IV if not stronger.

Congrats on your 1 year forum anniversary!

I always learn something from folks on this forum. Mostly, it is learning about new knives I had no idea I needed, prior to getting on the forum. Everyone is also very courteous and willing to impart knowledge they have on their Spyderco's.

Spyderco knives are simply quality built. I can rely on them 100%. Also, I LOVE how they listen to their customers. It's amazing to see their fans post about what they want, and then Sal comes in and lays out what's on their roadmap or changes their roadmap with new offerings.

Thanks for giving us this opportunity to win a knife! That's very cool of you. As for meeting the requirements, here you go:

*I appreciate this forum because it is a bunch of guys who share my common interest in knives and not only impart much friendliness and wisdom, but are also very kind, helpful, and generous.

*I think I've barely got enough posts ;) (Whew!)

*Not only do I love that Spyderco builds high quality and innovative knives at affordable prices, but they listen to their customers, even when we whine. Not only do they provide a great product and customer experience, but the class, integrity, and honesty that Sal and company display is second to none, and that is something that you can't put a price on. I'm proud to support the people that work for Spyderco with my dollars.

Hi dbcad, thanks for this fun GAW!

The Spydie forum is a tremendous font of knowledge, and there are many intellectually generous people who will help all of us, poor dull-bladed FNGs, as we endeavor to get back to the sharper side of life.

I appreciate the integrity of Spyderco, and I choose Spyderco knives as a way of showing my appreciation to a company that does things the right way. The knives themselves are easy to carry and a pleasure to use. And they're sharp looking!

Good luck everybody!

I am not a real knife person, I just carry one for the occasional need. This forum is a great resource for all things :spyder: , and that resource is the wealth of knowledge forum participants happily bring to the dance each and every day.

When I was younger, shooting and pistol craft were what I enjoyed spending my time and money on. I was introduced to :spyder: by friends when I started competitive shooting in the '80s, and used my Spydie many times for many things. I have seen shooters whip out a :spyder: , pry stuck cases from cylinders, return it, and continue shooting to finish the stage.

I was at the scene of a nasty auto accident where the :spyder: in my back pocket was used to free a baby's car seat w/baby belted in. I didn't do it, but I was able to put the opened knife in the rescue worker's hand while others were still digging in their pants. That's a testament to the knife's design and workmanship.

Trust is sometimes given on faith (religion, politics), or based on a promise to some standard of conduct or ethics (marriage, politics). But I trust Spyderco because actions speak louder than words.

These days I'm in a position to spend my money and time on knives. While there are other knives to be had, only Spyderco has my eye.

I appreciate the forum for its vast knowledge and easy to chat with members who share a common love of the steel

I like that spyderco gives us what we want - they build it with quality and make it look real good - Ill carry nothing else.

I have 3 boys ~ my oldest is almost 2 years old and I have 6 month twins. I want to pass Spyderco onto them and already have their "first" knives picked out

Hi, I'm DemskeetSkeet

I just want to say thanks for doing this!

The forum is great and offers a vast amount of knowledge and pictures. If I need comparison shots or information on anything related to Spyderco everyone is willing to help. Thank you so much everybody!!

I love Spyderco because of the unique steels used, great CS, great designs, and even better Quality Control.

It doesn't matter if the knife is made in China, Japan, Colorado, Taiwan, etc. It's always quality!

Again, thanks, I'd love to have an Endura finally.

I appreciate this forum for the vast amount of information it provides about one of my favorite companies. If not for forums like this, most of us would probably be off in our own little corners, wondering if we were alone in our love of holey blades.

As far as why I like Spyderco, they actually listen to their customers. They keep us in the loop when something new is coming along, and they don't cover things up if the discover a flaw in their own products. Plus, they are just a friendly and helpful bunch whenever an issue may arise.

Here's a photo of a Santa Fe Stoneworks Delica my girlfriend got me for X-mas 2 years ago.

Let me start by saying I do not really wish to win this contest, but just want to contribute my opinion.

I really do appreciate this forum for all the (accurate) information that so many knowledgeable people are willing to share, and how friendly most everybody is nearly all the time. Its a refreshing forum community to deal with.

Most of all I really like Spyderco's trademarked round hole. This was a stroke of genius and has become one of the things I look for in any knife. A knife without a hole just doesn't seem right. Spyderco is absolutely the best of any company in any field that I have dealt with at giving the consumer what they want. I say I want a Persian Sprint run, they give me not only a sprint, but also a revision that IMO is even better functionally than the original. I love cutlery, and am not necessarily a loyalist, but more than 9 out of 10 knives in my collection are Spydercos just because they are a superior product. I love that there are so many options for us. For me, I will be glad to plunk down nearly $200 for a super premium knife such as the M4 Millie or S90v Paramilitary 2, but for the people who think it's downright crazy to spend that much on a knife, they can buy great budget products. Made in China isn't my ideal, I won't probably ever buy it unless it is actually a superior product, but it's nice to have the choice. The Persistence, Tenacious, and Resilience are great knives for the price. I would rather pay for a Millie rather than a Resilience, but It's nice that Spyderco offers it to to others that do want it.

Spyderco, you are an A+ in my book!
On order: Maxamet Native 5
Current pocket hog: S90V Para2

It was time I responded to my own thread

Why I enjoy this forum:
The responses I recieved to this plea for help answers that.

http://www.spyderco.com/forums/showthre ... +challenge

I was genuinely helped by very courteous and knowledgeable folks. Thanks again :D the mule is now one of my favorites.

What I like about :spyder: :
One is that the founder is a knife and steel nut ;) and actively participates here. Another is the sheer diversity of product options, yet another is the quality of the of the products with quality and hard to find materials. I've looked at knives from other manufacturer's. Some are quite nice. I still prefer :spyder: because I can trust the company and the makers it uses.

Had to post a pic. The mule is used quite a bit. Tough blade :D

The drawing will take place tomorrow at about 5 PM EST. Thanks to all for participating. There's still time left.

I appreciate the Spyderco Forum because it is nice to have a place to have contact with people with a common interest. A lot can be learned and taught on a forum such as this.
As far as the Spydies themselves, I love the quality that goes into every knife that is shipped out of their factories. Their customer service was great the one time I had a small issue with a knife. :D :D :D

I like this forum for all the nice pics you dont normally see of spydyz and there are some great people on here.
For the knifes it has to be the all mighty spydy hole. Its what initially drew me to this great company. I also appreciate all that goes into making this the perfect knife producing company, in my book.

Here is a pic of my newest the kiwi.
