I can't stand them. It's really not hard to type full words, and a lot of kids these days are clueless because of it and other texting lingo. Spelling and punctuation errors drive me nuts, too. That's my little rant, but a few I know are:

LOL - laugh out loud
YMMV - your mileage may vary (your opinion may be different than mine)
ROTFL - roll on the floor laughing
PE - plain edge
SE - serrated edge
CE - combo edge
FRN - fiberglass reinforced nylon
OP - original poster
SS - stainless steel

That's a few off the top of my head - there're lots more - someone else can add to this. I hope it helps.

- best wishes, Jazz.

Most of the acronym sites have it in order as Humble, then Honest, then all kinds of stuff after those.

AJA; it's the technical acronyms that pertain to spyderco stuff that throws me. The chat lingo I can handle.

But hey, I'm not here to change things. Just having some fun, that's all. ;)

iwb - inside waist band... that one had me scratching my head.
spydie bite - the guy cut himself w/ his knife
spydie drop - when you position your thumb and forefinger on the spydie hole, flick your wrist, and drop the handle down... usually into the palm of your hand. (I don't get this one personally)
I dunno... I'm drawing a blank for any more

I'm a member of a forum that concerns a very different topic (cards), and they have an entire sticky dedicated solely to forum jargon and customs that new users are told to read before they participate. I think that seems a little excessive, eh?.

But it allows for a very fast exchange of information once new users bring themselves up to speed.

I prefer to write in actual words most of the time, but if I really need to fix that, I can always take up Twitter for a month.
