Hi Guys,

We received our second batch of the Spyderco Para 2's with CF/S90V this morning.* If you are receiving this e-mail, it is because we have not yet received enough of this item to fill your pre-orders.* I spoke with our Spyderco sales rep this morning and she informed me that there is still a possibility we will be receiving more.* We also have some on order with our distributors; however, there are no guarantees.* We just wanted to give everyone an update as to the status in case some of you are still looking around.* We will leave you on our pre-order list unless we hear otherwise from you.* Please let us know if your interest changes.* We are very sorry for this inconvenience!

All the best,
So that's why all the dealers have been so nice despite all the commotion! They're running around signing up at different distributors trying to get this model just like we all are doing with the dealers; they can empathize :p

Man, I didn't get a sorry note from knifeworks :p

I feel like crying honestly. This was my most highly anticipated knife ever. Congrats to those who got theirs though! Use them well for those of us at the bottom of the list :D

If they are producing 700, I'm sure you will get one. I'm guessing Sal & team will be busy for a while. I feel for them - sounds like a hard steel to work with. I can respect to to do the S90V variants occassionally and in smaller quantities.

I too am looking forward to playing with the knife. What a piece! Another kudo to Sal & team on a great knife and materials combo.

And if folks miss out on this one, well I can almost guarantee you rhe team at SFO will come out with another winner certainly. I just can't believe how these guys "nail it" time and time again. It's quite a company. Someday I'd love to meet Sal and here about his operations. I'm sure I could learn a lot about achieving success.

Well I just got this from Knife Center. Unhappy would be an understatement since I trusted that they would fulfill their order.

Yeah, I gave up on that preorder and picked one up on the secondary market. I hope you find one at a reasonable price.

I got the same email. So for sure spyderco isn't making anymore or are they going to be sending out a new batch soon?

I would suffice to say that they are done with the Sprint.

I am just fuming about this. When I emailed them back to ask them if they could assure me that I would get the gray handled one I ordered at the same time they said they could not. They bit off more than they could chew and took order after order that they could not fill. I will just leave it at this or I will probably say something really stupid.

PB&J here I come.

Hi

was there any information distributed from Spyderco in the recent past regarding the launch date of the Para-Military-2, gray G-10 CTS-20CP steel, now that is officially shown as a sprint run in the 2011 catalogue as C81GY?

Not sure of that one but we can bump it up to someone who may be able to answer.

I thought the target was January. A search here should provide the answer. ;)

Spyderco announces that a knife has begun shipping, and sometimes Sal will say that one is "in the plant" or "going through QC" but they do not generally give delivery date estimates. Far as I remember, that Sprint wasn't one of the models Sal mentioned the as being close a week or two ago, so I'd imagine it's still a couple months out, at the very least.
