Yep. Got it bad. Any knife I buy... I plan on using to some degree. I'm not interested in collecting safe queens. I buy the ones I think I'll like (for some reason). Uniqueness is one of those reasons. But, I don't see them as "investments." Rather, I think of them as either utilitarian or "practical art." Who knew one could get so esoteric about folding knives, eh? :)
No doubt, the genius of Spyderco is the seemingly infinite variety of folding knives. Something for everyone... at a price and quality that simply cannot be beat. And, you can't have just one!
When I think about it... Spyderco is truly brilliant. They have created a series of quality, yet affordable, products that perpetually generate their own buzz... add a splash of internet... and you've got marketing genius. And, I fell for it! :)
