Medowlark 2 FFG

I saw one at the knifecenter.com, darn if they don't look like a Delica with a choil.
Excuse me if this is old news, but I just don't look at the Byrd line.
Looks good though!

Agreed, I much prefer the look of the new Meadowlark 2 blade to the older version.

I just got in a Cara Cara 2, and IT looks like an FFG Endura with a finger choil. Very nice, :spyder: did a great job updating the Byrd designs.

I'm an admirer of Spyderco's designs. Using them is like immersing yourself in music or studying a painting in a museum. I buy some "fine" art but my preference is for usable art.

I love my original frn meadowlark. I bought mine two summers ago to temporarily replace my d4 wave that I lost. I bought another waved delica and a blue zdp delica six months later but probably only carried them 10 times since. My meadowlark is the only spyderco I've carried in the past 4 months rotated with my sng or carry both. My only complaint was the jimping at the bottom of the handle and sharp edges inside the scales where the blade closes but those were easily sanded smooth. I like how the new scales look on the 2 and will be adding one to my next order. These are great value knives, not just beaters.

Edit to add: Not sure about the new meadowlark but the old ones are WAY easier to reassemble that the D4.
