Hi! I have a question: Is aluminium significantly harder to form for small handles or is there another reason (eg grip) that FRN tends to be used on small handles.
It would seem that the potential weight saving is greater for bigger knives; and I figure you'd have to do something pretty spectacular to break (tear, i guess) the FRN on a larger handle whereas with smaller things (eg Cricket or Ladybug) it seems quite feasible (I guess.....) if I slip (urmm). Just curious as I kinda like Alu! I'd find any comments interesting.
Cheers, Sam
Aluminium handles
I personally speculates that it's more cost effective to have FRN moldes than machining aluminum for the handles. It makes sense that if they're cheaper, they could be used for gifts or could be used to introduce one more person to be infected by the Spydie bug
