bottle opener

Post by sam_c »

Hi!

I just got a weeny Ladybug and was looking through some of the old posts. Someone suggested a cap puller. I think the easiest way to do this is on a small knife is to move the hole up and forward so that it's a hook rather than a hole (& tell people to only use when knife is shut!!). On the ladybug (fiddly for my clumsy hands) this'd make opening easier, too. Also (while I'm ranting) it'd be nice if the rear of some liner-locks extended back past the casing in a small lump so that it could be used as a small flat screwdriver (not perfect, but sometimes useful). Anyway, knife is generally good and very convienient. Cheers, Sam

Hi Sam, welcome aboard. Your idea is good, however one of the things that gives a spydie its personality is the opening round hole.
BTW, you may want to check this, it features a bottle opener <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> <a href="http://www.spyderco.com/forum/Topic.asp?topic_id=5204">(Click here for the topic)</a>

Dialex, thanks: I hadn't seen that, I'd have to agree with the comments already posted about your design <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> How big is it intended to be? I'm not very good at guessing. Nice one though!

Welcome to the land of bugs, are you a quick learner or did you know about the icons. I still don´t have them all right yet!?<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
I´m waiting for a corkscrew on a spydie. That vould be a great gift for winelovers.<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
